Established: 1964-65

During a time when encouragement for education was very scarce in our region which is an extremely backward area this initiative was undertaken with the intention that the poor children of our locality must receive an education. With the resolve that no one should be deprived of education due to poverty, the Sri Matha established this Free Student Hostel (Prasada Nilaya) in 1964-65.

It was the first of its kind in the entire Koppal district. As a result of establishing this free hostel, tens of thousands of students have availed themselves of its benefits. Beyond pursuing higher education, many have served and continue to serve in high-ranking positions. The Free Hostel plays a significant role in standing as a support system for the poor children of this region and in bringing light into their lives.
